Coffee stain on your rug? If the coffee stain is fresh, you have a chance to perform coffee stain removal on your rug. First soak up the excess, and then pour less than one cup of cool water over the spot to dilute the coffee further. Blot up the excess. Mix 1/2 cup of white vinegar with 2 cups of cool water. Apply sparingly to the spot with a clean sponge. Blot the area dry. You can continue to add more vinegar solution and blot the area dry until the stain is gone.
